Mitchell Marcus, the student with a developmental disability who became an Internet phenomenon after scoring his basketball team’s final basket of the season, got a chance to tell his story again yesterday on Ellen, the talk show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.
Marcus’ other claim to fame: he’s the nephew of Linda Burger, who directs the Jewish Family Service of Houston, and is also a New Normal blogger. Her first post ran yesterday: read it if you haven’t already, it’s beautiful.
Since that now-famous Feb. 12 game, both Marcus and the boy from the opposing team who tossed him the ball so that he could take his shot have gone viral as the subject of newspaper articles and guests on various television talk and news programs, such as the Today show.
Here he is on Ellen.
