I was saddened but not surprised by your endorsement of Hillary Clinton for president.
Granted, Donald Trump is the worst nominee to represent the Republican Party that I can remember. He has made many offensive and stupid statements, including, but not limited to, stating John McCain was not a “hero” (because he was captured) and that George Bush “lied” about weapons of mass destruction, in order to commit the U.S. to war in Iraq.
But compared to Hillary Clinton? It’s not even close.
Hillary Clinton jeopardized the safety of our country by storing classified information on her private server. She repeatedly lied to the FBI, Congress and the American people. She stated that she never received or sent classified material from her private server. The FBI stated that happened over 100 times. She stated many times that the reason why she used her phone for personal and government business was out of her desire to maintain only one device. She used 13 different devices during the time in question. After perjuring herself in Congressional testimony, the Congress subpoenaed her emails. After the subpoena, Hillary had 33,000 emails erased via BleachBit.
These lies and actions not only disqualify her from becoming president, but should win her a trip to prison. Over half the country believes she should have been prosecuted. I find it remarkable that the word “email” was missing from your endorsement. Perhaps it was deleted by Mrs. Clinton.
But I have to say, the thing that bothers me most about your endorsement, and makes me wonder how any Jew that cares about the Jewish people or the State of Israel could support her, is her support for the Iran deal. The Iran deal allows Iran access to $150 billion, yes, 150 billion with a “b.” Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and supports Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The next time, G-d forbid, a terrorist attack or missile launched by Hamas or Hezbollah kills or maims a Jew or Jewish child, can you really feel good supporting a candidate that supports arming the murderers of our people?
