Re: Gary Rosenblatt’s column last week, “Struggling For A ‘Middle Way’ In A World Of Extremes”:
Unfortunately, we are still in the West Bank territories after 50 years. Israeli leadership is moving more and more against a two-state solution, and the polarization of the society is getting worse and worse. The real leaders of the country are the extremists among the settlers, and they are setting the tone. The anti-Israel opinions and actions in the States will surely grow and get worse and worse unless Israel honestly and courageously moves to rid itself of most of the West Bank and helps establish a legitimate Palestinian state there. This is what must be done for the benefit of our future generations here in our Jewish Democratic state.
