Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman, founder of Migdal Ohr, one of Israel’s leading organizations helping children at risk, was presented with a Sefer Torah earlier this month to mark his 70th birthday. The rabbi, shown here with Mark Regev, Israel’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, is an Israel Prize winner and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Distinction for his extensive work over the last 45 years with underprivileged, impoverished, and orphaned children and teenagers in Israel.

A global campaign is underway to provide a new model for Migdal Ohr residential care that incorporates family life, with a counselor family living on each floor of the youngsters’ residence.
