Inclusive Resources For Your Purim Celebration

Inclusive Resources For Your Purim Celebration

Editor's Note: Purim comes Wednesday evening and we are delighted to share resources from Matan to help children and teens acclimate to what can be a sensory-overwhelming holiday.

Matan’s Director of Education, Orlee Krass, has created a number of activities and resources that you can use to enhance your celebrations of Purim with children of all abilities:

Purim Carnival Social Story

Purim Noisy Social Story

Hamentashen Recipe

Purim Four Square Game

And finally, new this year, a Purim Schedule. Use this schedule as a template and either print your own icons or use what we have provided as you keep track of all your Purim fun!

Orlee Krass, since 2010, has served as the Director of Education for Matan. In this capacity, Orlee manages educational staff, oversees consultations and professional development, and designs curricula. In addition to her work with Matan, Orlee serves as the Inclusion Specialist at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack, NY, working closely with senior staff to accommodate campers with special needs in their mainstream program. Orlee also works as the National Tikvah Network Coordinator for the Ramah Camping Movement.
