There’s nothing like being reprimanded by Jdate to really make a single gal feel like a million bucks.
“In order to inspire his total devotion, you need to stop using all the wrong ways that most women think work to get love, but really just push men away,” begins the email titled, “Inspire his total devotion” sent by Jdate to its female patrons.
It ends this way:
“In my free newsletter, I’ll teach you how to EXPRESS your feelings and really connect with a man and inspire his love. You’ll learn what BODY LANGUAGE magnetizes a man and how to get his attention without ‘chasing’ him or being fake in any way. And you’ll learn how to create a relationship that satisfies you in ways you never dreamed possible.”
I will spare you everything that comes in between because, really, does it matter?
Which is another way of saying, particularly when it comes to the complicated and murky world of dating and relationships, any kind of simplistic, one-size-fits-all, guaranteed formula for how to catch a man is just IDIOTIC.
I would just have dismissed the whole thing as nonsense except for the fact that it is so “blame the victim,” as we used to say back in my Barnard days. I mean, why, in order to try to encourage meaningful and committed relationships, do women – ALL women – need to be chastised?
Which is another way of saying, why is it a woman’s fault if a man can’t commit?
And why is it ok to yell at women in the first place? Not to mention women who happen to be paying customers? Which is another way of saying, we’re paying for this abuse?
It’s insulting to men, too. I mean, are ALL men exactly the same and only capable of responding to one, specific thing from ALL women?
Which is another way of saying:
In order to inspire total devotion among your female clientele, you need to stop using all the wrong ways that most “dating experts” think work to gain singles’ trust, but really just push women away.
In my free newsletter, I’ll teach you how to EXPRESS your dating advice and really connect with your single target audience and inspire their love without ‘reprimanding’ them or being patronizing in any way. And you’ll learn how to create a relationship with your paying customers that satisfies them in ways you never dreamed possible.
