Five Arrested For Pelting N.J. Jewish Teens With Eggs

Five people were arrested in Ocean County, New Jersey for pelting Orthodox Jewish teens with eggs.

Those arrested, three male adults and two juvenile boys, were charged with bias intimidation and harassment, the Asbury Park Press reported.

The incident occurred late last week as the two teens, ages 15 and 17, believed to be from Lakewood were walking. The five assailants attacked the teens from a Jeep.

“You better move on you Jew boys,” they reportedly said, according to the Asbury Pak Press. The driver admitted to police that they were responsible for the attack.

Lakewood Police Chief Robert Lawson told the Asbury Park Press: “This has happened before where kids from surrounding towns, Toms River, Howell, Jackson and Brick, come into Lakewood and think its fun to harass the Orthodox. We have a zero tolerance for this kind of thing.”
