Yom Kippur Morning Service at JCC Harlem

Warm, welcoming, come-as-you-are services led by Rabbi Abigail Treu, director of the Center for Jewish Living and the David H. Sonabend Center for Israel at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. Yom Kippur is our day of introspection and atoning for what we’ve done wrong and agreeing in community to do better in the year ahead. Recitation of the traditional Hebrew prayers for forgiveness as well as English translations and versions; chanting of the Torah; singing and praying in Hebrew and English; story-telling, and time to reflect on how to forgive, seek forgiveness, and become our best selves in the new year. This service will have amplified sound, and words will be projected onto a large screen for participants to follow along.
Event Cost: $18 individual (kids and adults same price); $60 family/group pass, for up to 6 people
