Summer Discussion Series on Jewish Medical Ethics
August 6 - August 20
The Joint Synagogue Council of Southwest Nassau presents a three-part summer discussion series on Jewish Medical Ethics, exploring what past and present Jewish sources and traditions have to say about some of today’s critical healthcare issues, such as abortion, organ donation, and end-of-life care, including physician-assisted suicide. How can Jewish texts and teachings help us when critical decisions need to be made? How do we balance competing priorities? Come help consider religious, medical, legal, and ethical perspectives on these crucial, timely topics.
Please call each location whose lecture one wishes to attend to RSVP.
