Does Gender really matter? A look at Halakhic Judaism and Women
Does the Binary Still Exist? Examining the Halachic Legal Structure which uses the Binary of Male/Female to Develop Traditional Roles in Jewish Society, we will try to take a careful look at some of the forces at work today trying to do away with religious gender roles and whether that will cause the whole system to crumble.
Join this pop-up Beit Midrash (house of study) taking place all over the world and, for the third time, in Harlem! Talmud scholar, and faculty member of the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, Nechama Goldman Barash, will teach.
