MSNBC’s Ari Melber

March 13 , 7:30 pm

Hosted by MSNBC’s Ari Melber and featuring Zucked author Roger McNamee, MoMA curator Ann Temkin, hip-hop artist Tee Grizzley and Peter Riegert reading Shalom Auslander’s In Your Face—New York novella. Music by jazz legend Jay Leonhart.

People leave work early so they can get home to watch The Beat with Ari Melber. He explains politics, the law-and hip-hop-like nobody else on TV. On March 13, Ari will explore the world of cable news and how he manages to keep it all straight when events are cascading around us minute by minute. And that includes the names of all the Russian oligarchs.

Zucked author Roger McNamee will discuss his “superb” (New York Times) book about the dangers of Facebook. Meet hip-hop artist Tee Grizzley and hear film and TV star Peter Riegert reading fiction by Shalom Auslander (Foreskin’s Lament, Hope: a Tragedy). MoMA Curator of Painting and Sculpture Ann Temkin will explain how a painting gets to the museum – and it isn’t by Uber. Jazz legend Jay Leonhart leads the 1-Train Band.
