Forward Archivist Chana Pollack, Art, & Wine @ Eldridge
January 21 , 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Want to know how it feels to hold a piece of newspaper history in your hand? Ever wondered why newsprint images have that iconic polka dot appearance? Satisfy your curiosity with us at a free open house. We’re celebrating our latest exhibition Pressed: Images from the Jewish Daily Forward, by inviting Chana Pollack, the Forward’s archivist, to give us the scoop on the paper’s archives and cool ephemeral like the metal print plates that appear in the show. Even if you don’t think this topic is your thing, Chana’s enthusiasm and charm will win you over (read a recent interview with her on our blog and you’ll see what I mean.) We’re serving wine, and the entire building will be open, for free, so you can sip and stroll through our gorgeous landmark before and after Chana’s talk.
Click HERE to RSVP (adult tickets sold out; seniors and students are still available, however).
