NCJW NY invites you to an important one-day conference hosted by the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, “Criminal Justice Reform: A Jewish Call to Action.” Hear from experts and advocates including Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y. Dist. 8), Erin Leigh George (Citizen Action of NY), Vidal Guzman (JustLeadershipUSA), and Jason Flom (Lava Records) over panels, talks, and workshops on understanding racial disparities and bias in the criminal justice system, the importance of criminal justice reform to the Jewish community, current strategies to mitigate mass incarceration in NY, and planning Jewish community advocacy and engagement.
