Bob Dylan Through a Jewish Lens

October 11 , 7:30 pm

Through a Jewish lens, Rabbi Karol evaluates the works of poet, musician and singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, born Robert Zimmerman. Widely regarded as the voice of a generation and one of the greatest and most popular artists in American history, Dylan focused his songs on politics, social issues and identity. The Biblical and Jewish sources for the lyrics in many of his songs, such as “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “Forever Young,” “All Along the Watchtower,” and “The Times They Are A-Changin’” will be listened to and discussed.

Light refreshments will be served – all are welcome!

R.S.V.P. is appreciated to templeoffice@tbeli.org.
