A Neo-Hasidic Symposium + Festival
December 8 , 12:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Rabbi Arthur Green + Friends
The first great collection of Neo-Hasidic teachings, A New Hasidism: Roots and Branches, is newly published. To celebrate, its editor, Rabbi Arthur Green, will be joined by friends and contributors to these volumes for a day of Neo-Hasidic teaching, conversation, meditation, and song. Join us to discover (and help to create!) a passionate Jewish spirituality for the 21st century.
What is Neo-Hasidism?
Neo-Hasidism is an approach to Jewish life based on the teachings of the early Hasidic masters. It embraces the joyous service of God as life’s highest goal, to be achieved through daily acts of goodness as one goes through life. It is practiced by people who live outside the closed world of today’s Hasidic communities and is a progressive, open-spirited, and deeply mindful approach to Jewish life.
Featured presenters include:
Rabbi Arthur Green and Rabbi David Ingber, in conversation with Rabbi Felicia Sol
Rabbi Jill Hammer
Dr. Eitan Fishbane
Rabbi Dr. Erin Leib Smokler
Hazzan Basya Schechter and Eden Pearlstein (Darshan)
Cosponsored with Romemu, Congregation Ansche Chesed, and B’nai Jeshurun
