Aint No Grave: Moses, Johnny Cash, End of Days

This week (Adar 7) was the yahrtzeit of Moses, and a day when burial societies (the chevra kaddisha), usually very private, get together for a communal meal, study and reflection. Adar 7 was chosen to be that day because not only is the grave of Moses unknown but no mortals prepared him for the grave, his chevra kaddisha was God.

Here’s an excellent story from The Los Angeles Times on the final recordings of Johnny Cash, when he was dying. Like Moses, it’s called “Aint No Grave.”
