Accept Realities

The two-state solution is the political “messiah,” eminently desirable but not currently realistic (“The Stain Of Abstaining,” Editorial, Dec. 30).

It flies in the face of more than 69 years and counting of Palestinian/Arab attempts to eliminate Israel and the existential Israeli need for security — mislabeled “the conflict.”

Those who demand it either hate Israel or find it difficult to handle the tensions from a currently insoluble situation. The sooner we accept these realities the closer we will be to real peace.
