The Reform, Reconstructionist, Orthodox and Conservative movements announced on Monday a plan for collaborating to work toward the increased inclusion of people with disabilities in synagogues.

Called Hineinu, or “Here We Are,” the initiative will help synagogues share best practices and resources; form relationships across denominational lines and encourage the creation of inclusion committees.

The movements accompanied the announcement of the program with the publication of a guide to inclusion in synagogues tailored to the needs and practices of each movement.
