Thousands of Holocaust survivors land in Southern Italy after WWII, on their way to Israel. Amazed by the welcome from the locals, they find joy and healing while they await the ships that would run the British blockade. Hundreds of children were born during the wait. This documentary chronicles the story of three Israeli women born at that time, in a place where their parents began to believe in life again. The screening will be followed by a discussion with director Yael Katzir.
